Candidate Name: Joanna Warrens

Office: County Supervisor District 4

Occupation: Farmer/Teacher/Mother

Greetings, residents of Durham, Biggs, Richvale, Gridley, Chico, and all the unincorporated areas,

I am Joanna Warrens, a Farmer, Teacher, and Mother. When I met my husband, Wade in 1994, I never imagined my journey would lead to a 42-acre walnut orchard in Durham. We Warrens, on Hanlon Rd since 1936, have faced challenges in competing with corporate agriculture, but we've persevered.

I will advocate for families and support our community's small businesses and family farms in Butte County. Despite an almost 800-million-dollar county budget, families struggle with healthcare costs, childcare, soaring PG&E bills, and rents. The current Board of Supervisors has manipulated electoral maps and is under investigation for potential legal violations by the California Attorney General.

District 4's most precious resource is its people. As a mother, I pledge that children will always be a priority. I will be truthful, avoid backroom dealings, safeguard groundwater for orchards and domestic wells, comprehend budgets, and fight for good government. I am honest, hardworking, and dedicated. I won't compromise your trust for personal gain. Whether you live in urban, rural, or suburban areas I will be your Supervisor.
